Computer science education

Since 2022, my research has focused on teaching computer science, especially in NSI, the computer science track of French high schools. It is carried out at LS2N and with IREM Pays de la Loire (the regional institute for research on mathematics and computer science teaching).

Teaching databases

How do students understand the relational model and SQL, and where do they struggle? I am particularly interested in teaching joins and in step-by-step query execution, which led to QueryCraft.

Helping students connect a specification to its code: partial correctness of algorithms, UML diagrams, consistency between model and program.

Project management in NSI

Bringing professional methods, agile ones in particular, into student projects.

Generative AI

Generative AI as a tool for students and teachers. I designed a 12-hour training course on this topic for teachers of the Nantes academic region (2024-2025), along with tools for lab sessions: ProxyIAg and RapidChat.
